But Matt is a gentleman, and ...used Jiu-Jitsu in one of its most merciful forms. The beauty of Jiu-Jitsu is that you don’t necessarily have to hurt someone to defeat or subdue them. The ease of controlling someone using Jiu Jitsu, who is intoxicated and aggressive is apparent in this video. That ease, as well as the ability to potentially subdue someone without excessive violence is why I feel consistent training in BJJ is essential for law enforcement.
