We do need all of us to practice physical distancing and wearing our face coverings to help protect our kupuna. We will also be taking touchless temperature checks as you enter. Hilo Church of the Nazarene will be hosting a drive through Maundy Thursday service at the church on Thursday, April 1 between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. We will be praying for you, offering communion, anointing with oil, and bringing words of encouragement. If you have any questions you can reach us at the church during office hours. Our Easter Sunday Service will begin at 9:00 AM and will finish at about 10:35. We look forward to seeing you there.

What a Hilo day. RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. Ezekiel 34:26 NIV I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. Even with all this rain, we are thankful for God's showers of blessing. California is praying for rain. We are blessed everyday. Praise God. ... Well even with the rain we will be meeting at the Hilo Church of the Nazarene Sunday morning Dec. 20 at 9:00 AM. This will be the 4th Sunday of Advent and we will be celebrating by relighting the Advent candles of Hope, Peace, and Joy. Then we will light the fourth candle which represents "Love" which is also the title of Sunday's message. We will also celebrate communion during the service. We hope to see you there.

I want to wish all of you a great New Year. The only thing is that wishing won't give us a great year. We need to pray for a year filled with hope and peace, and joy, and love and grace. We are looking forward to a better year than 2020. It won't be better if we don't trust in the Lord Jesus and do the things that will keep us safe. Yes I know God is bigger than the Corona virus, but don't test God. We have a part to play, we must be faithful, don't place yourself in harm's way. Pray for God's intervention, and share the Good News that Jesus came to die for us and was raised to new life. Let's make this year a blessing to all.
