On Thursday, February 18 2021, SGT Nicholas re-enlisted for two additional years in the Army. He was joined by his daughter, Abigail. MAJ Smith, BDE S1 OIC, administered the oath. SGT Nicholas currently serves as a 42A Human Resources Specialist in HHC. He has made outstanding contributions to the S1 team and his leadership within the section is an important reason for their success. Congratulations, SGT Nicholas and thank you for your decision to continue serving in our great Army. Well done!

Fitness Friday! Two Soldiers, SGT Jordan and SPC Rue, stared their day way before sunrise and conducted a 12 mile forced march to assess their ability to meet the ESB standards. On Friday, January 22, 2021, 1LT Keneally Phelan was promoted to First Lieutenant! What a remarkable achievement. COL Michael C. Jensik spoke on her behalf and rendered the Oath of Office for her. Joining him were 1SG Stephens and CPT Teferra, who pinned 1LT Phelan. 1LT Phelan spent the last 18 months serving as an AS2 in the Brigade S2 where she learned how her Warfighting function supports the Brigade Commander's decision making process. In her remarks, she thanked the NCO...s in her section for helping with her professional development and COL Jensik for helping her realize her dream of becoming a troop leader. This was 1LT Phelan's last full day with HHC - 1LT Phelan is headed to 2IBCT where she will take over a HUMINT Platoon in the MICO. Congratulations, 1LT Phelan! Good luck to you at 25th Infantry Division and we at HHC hope for only the best for you in your Army career.

On Wednesday, 23 December, the Wardawgs spent the better part of the day wrapping gifts and collecting donations from PX shoppers! This was the second time the Wardawgs were out at the PX wrapping gifts. With less than 48 hours to go until Christmas Day, there were quite a few Soldiers and Families who needed gifts wrapped. The Wardawgs raised just over $1,300 dollars in one day of gift wrapping, which totals $1,465 over two days! We would like to thank COL Jensik and all th...e senior leaders who came by to get gifts wrapped and show their support.
