It is with great sadness that we pass along the news that one of the last remaining Pearl Harbor survivors (and resident of Massachusetts) has passed away at the age of 98. Emery Arsenault, pictured in the blue Hawaiian shirt, was at a radar station at Pearl Harbor when the attacks began. Born in Massachusetts, he reportedly hitchhiked to Boston to report for duty at the age of 18. Mr. Arsenault joined us here at the Charlestown Navy Yard for our annual commemorations of tha...t important day. We are grateful for his service and salute him and his family. (Text borrowed from Boston National Historic Park.) Rest easy, sailor.
