Working on the last couple of cabins to get them to look like the other five refurbished ones.

Camp Hale Koa Update - Well folks, after being closed by the DLNR for their failure to have converted the cesspools on their property by 2005 (we lease from the State) and facing massive fines from the EPA we have word of a less than wonderful solution. Apparently in the general session of the State congress in April the DLNR will ask for resources to solve this problem. If granted, the State will then get bids and do the conversion at CHK and other properties on their dime......and that could mean being forced to stay closed well into summer or longer. We are hoping for some kind of action that would: A. Let us stay open while the fiscal and bid process is being done. Or B. Giving us a drop dead date where we can open so folks like you can make plans. (Just so you know, we still have a caretaker on site to insure safety and upkeep of the property but without incoming funds our bank account will run dry just paying for utilities if this drags on too long) See more
