We are OPEN!!! We hope you are staying healthy and practicing good physical distancing. AND we hope you have been practicing excellent oral hygiene. For those of you with May and June hygiene appointments, Barbara will be contacting you about one week ahead (we have turned off most of our advance email/text notifications so they don't bother you unnecessarily) to give you the option of seeing Dr. Gum for your hygiene appointment or postponing due to your concern regarding... COVID-19. For all concerned about what our office is doing to protect your health, in addition to our normal stellar infection prevention protocols, we are escorting our patients up from the parking lot to our office; having patients wash their hands and do a pre-rinse mouthwash prior to being seated; take the patients’ temperature; prescreening regarding travel, illness and contact with others who are ill; wiping all doorknobs in addition to any touched surfaces between every patient; and giving patients a wipe for when they leave the office to be able to safely touch all surfaces from exiting our office to arriving back at their vehicle. For those whose March and April hygiene appointments we had to cancel, please feel free to proactively contact us at (808)366-5163 to reschedule. We will do our best to contact you, but it will take a little while to get through the two-month list of canceled hygiene appointments.
