One Life to Give #1L2G

Wow. What a year! I know some have had a horrible year full of loss, depression, throwing your hands up in surrender, a year of just trying to hang on and cope. It was painful. While others see that the earth was shook of earthly things and we were stripped of our busy-ness that makes us feel important and worthy of choosing what we want to commit to or not. We were told not to gather but really that is what we all needed in a time of uncertainty. We are pushing forward wit...h focus and choosing what is the most important for our selves, our families, and our communities. I think the unknowns are still lurking into the next year even though we get to change the date. Praying for you and your family that you will have/ make the time to invest in your families over a meal together almost every day. Praying that you can have the difficult conversations with each other and grace( lots of grace) for each other when maybe we are a little off. We are at the end of the year and our nonprofit could use a little help if you have funds set aside to donate for a tax deduction. This might not look exciting at first glance but this is a ROAD that leads to the One Life property! Last time we were there in January vehicles could not reach this area because of all the rock. Although it was a nice workout to hike out from, this means we can move forward in developing a workshop space and fixing up the house on the property. Wooohoo, things are progressing slowly slowly

Two of these smiles belong to two graduates of our scholarship program and the other is currently in our program. It makes us so happy to see their smiling faces half a world away

Happy Giving Tuesday! Our family formed One Life after spending 9 months in Kenya and learning the importance of clean water, education, dreams, community, and culture... we couldn’t just stop and walk away. Because we are a nonprofit all your donations are tax deductible, you can donate in the shop called Navydylan on Kauai or online at onelifetogive.org/our-causes. Thanks to those who have been giving to One Life to Give through the past five years we have been able to help up to 45 youth each year with their school fees, we’ve blessed villages with access to water, brought joy to youth in soccer tournaments and now we push forward to create jobs in rural Kenya and pay living wages. PROGRESS :::moving onward, toward the direction of a goal, development. We have had over 4 acres of land just sitting there as we have watched 2020 unfold with so many unknowns. We didn’t want to push forward if it wasn’t the right time. So now it’s time! We are building a fence to show this land is claimed and it has BIG plans to benefit young adults in rural Kenya
